IP Addresses and Online Privacy

Proxy allows target websites to see the proxy exit IP, but it is not a complete privacy or security solution. Browser fingerprints, cookies, logins, DNS, and the app's own online behavior may still be linked to users.

Common methods

  • proxy: Suitable for changing the exit IP for a specified browser, tool or request.
  • VPN: Typically takes over more traffic at the device or system level.
  • Tor: Emphasis on anonymous routing, but performance and website compatibility may be limited.

What proxy can’t solve

  • Cannot automatically clear cookies, cache and login status.
  • cannot guarantee that third-party websites are safe or that their content is legal.
  • Does not replace HTTPS, strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, and system updates.

Basic Check

  • After connecting, use the IP query website to confirm the export change.
  • Check whether DNS and WebRTC meet your privacy requirements.
  • Do not expose the proxy password and complete connection string in public screenshots or logs.

Usage Reminder:Please comply with the target website’s terms of service, robots.txt, applicable laws and data protection requirements. Proxy connections do not replace account security, content authorization, or business compliance review.
